LAN System Administrator

Need a full-time LAN System Administrator to work on-site with our client in Ann Arbor, MI.

LAN sysadmin will support Novell and Linux-based services provided by LAN/NOS and assist with support of the Windows applications as appropriate. Therefore, the successful candidate possesses a broad technical understanding of NetWare, Windows and Linux. In particular, he/she has experience with Novell eDirectory and the services that rely on it.

Necessary Experience:
Experience with current versions of Novell eDirectory and NetWare. Experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems administration. Experience with Active Directory and Windows systems administration. Troubleshooting experience with Intel-based server hardware. Strong oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and problem resolution skills; demonstrated leadership ability and the ability to work as a member of a team.

Desired Experience:
Strong experience with an enterprise Novell eDirectory, NetWare and Linux installations. Experience working in a high availability, large-scale production environment. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and current Windows Server operating systems. Experience with ldap directories and interfacing with those directories programmatically. Experience with OES and SLES. Solid planning and organizational skills. Ability to practice effective mentoring and coaching skills.

CNE, MCSE certifications is highly desirable.
