Ruby on Rails / LAMP Web Developer

Seeking an experienced Web (LAMP) Developer to develop advanced web applications in a Linux environment. Duties include ground-up development of new applications as well as continued development and/or maintenance of existing applications and services.

Build custom web applications using Ruby on Rails, PHP, MySQL, Perl, Apache. Maintain existing programs and scripts, write new code or modules as needed.

Be able to find acceptable solutions and/or compromises for cross-browser and cross-platform code interpretation inconsistencies. Must be resourceful and enjoy seeking the most efficient solution from many possibilities.

Analyze and debug someone else's code to find quick solutions and/or improvements. Document and track bugs and changes. Create, implement and improve company standards for coding and development. Some experience with source-management system is good to have.

Must be a troubleshooter who can handle high-pressure situations ('put out fires').

Must be a good listener, translator, and clear communicator (even with non-techies). Must be professional in appearance and attitude, and driven to succeed.
